I'm New

We are so happy that you stopped by the website today.  At Newton Christian Church, we strive to make everyone feel at home.  When you are here, relax, grab a coffee at The Crossing and find a seat anywhere you like in the worship center.  Most people in our congregation dress casually, but wear whatever makes you most comfortable! If  you are new, we would like to connect with you.  Please stop by the Connection Central desk and say hello.  We like to share a special gift with all our visitors.

What To Expect

A typical service will last about 70 minutes. We sing together, hear a teaching from the bible and share communion. We try to offer experiences through the church that help people connect to one another and God. There is childcare available in the nursery and classes and special worship for children. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

To begin the service we like to sing to help us remember and express God's goodness.  After singing we teaching time from the Bible focused on God's love, grace and good plans for us.  After teaching we transition to a time of communion where we are led to reflect on Jesus and participate in a symbolic meal of bread and juice that we take to celebrate and remember Jesus' life.

Announcements & Offering

We take this time to communicate activities and give financially to support the ministry of the church.  Giving is something the Bible asks us to do, and our people do it joyfully.  As a guest, we do not want you to feel pressured to give.

Infants & Preschool

Infants and toddlers up through age 3 can be checked in at the nursery located in the main lobby near the entrance prior to service.  Children age 4 through Kindergarten can attend a special Littles Worship by checking in prior to the service in the main children's area near the east entrance. They will enjoy a activities, crafts and a lesson designed just for them.

Children grades 1st through 3rd grade will have activities and teaching in the children's area after the communion time.  Please accompany your children to receive your check-in label in the main children's area on the east side of the building.  They will be cared for there until you pick them up after the service.
4th and 5th grade meet in the east wing at the beginning of service for a teaching time designed just for them. They will be escorted to the worship center in time to join you for worship and communion.
